Additional Details

Pursuing Jesus

As they go through each Excursion, event, and adventure, Highlands campers have the opportunity grow together in Christian community. Highlands campers tangibly practice the pursuit of Jesus alongside their counselors and peers as they learn how the Gospel influences their lives. Campers will still have foundational elements such as Camper Rallies, worship, bible studies, and quiet times, but as they go through their week at camp, they will also be encouraged to take what they have learned about Jesus and practice living as Jesus calls us to.

Excursion Sign-Ups on Highlands

Each Highlands camper gets to choose the Excursions that they are most excited to try. They don’t need to have any previous experience in the activities, but need to come with excitement to give it a go! Excursions are a block of time where campers are introduced to the activity, get to explore and learn about the activity, and walk away with a one-of-a-kind experience as well as an encouraged sense of self-courage, self-confidence, and excitement.

High Adventure

Highlands campers get to spend a night on trail, complete the High Ropes Course, and end their week at camp with a day of rafting with Noah’s Ark Whitewater Rafting in Buena Vista, Colorado. These adventure opportunities provide higher heights and deeper depths to the Eagle Lake Camp experience for our oldest campers.

Memorable Experiences & Events

Beyond adventure, Highlands is filled with games and events that keep high schoolers wanting more!
