The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) offers you the opportunity to use your skills and abilities as an integral part of the Eagle Lake staff while continuing your leadership, business, and spiritual development through ongoing training and ministry partner development.
Aspects of ELP

Business Experience
Off-season (September – May) responsibilities may include:
- Recruiting and hiring summer staff
- Planning Eagle Lake programs
- Managing church clients
- Assisting with marketing, including design, photography, and videography
- Managing Eagle Lake property and equipment
- Creating efficient administrative and operational processes
- Serving Eagle Lake parents on the Customer Service team
- Designing and managing camp store inventory
- Coordinating staff on-boarding and training
Ongoing Training
Additional development opportunities include:
- Weekly business and leadership training sessions including training on our business model, finance, marketing, interpersonal leadership and customer service
- Weekly ELP Bible study
- Individual professional development opprotunities
- Conferences, workshops, and speakers

Summer Leadership Role
Each ELPer will be in a leadership role on our summer staff. Responsibilities may include:
- Leading summer programs, impacting up to 250 campers per week
- Working alongside a team of 12-50 summer staff
- Training and discipling college students
- Communicating with parents and church partners
- Coordinating equipment, vehicles and staff for travel across the state or country
- Leading staff Bible study
- Managing camper and staff discipline issue
Ministry Partner Development
As with most staff positions with The Navigators, ELPers fundraise their personal support. This is an incredible opportunity to learn to trust God and gain a team of ministry partners to join you on your journey. The support Eagle Lake provides as you fundraise includes:
- One week long fundraising training
- Fundraising Coach
- Accountability
- Support and encouragement
- Additional training and support in Eagle Lake office

Requirements for Participation
- Completed Bachelor’s degree (Associate’s degree will be considered)
- Raise $40,000 per year in personal support
- No more than a $300 monthly payment for all combined personal debt
- Willingness to serve in whatever capacity needed with a desire to learn and grow
