Base Camp (ages 8 - 11)

You belong here!

The Base Camp (ages 8 - 11) Program is a classic introduction to Eagle Lake Overnight Camps. Campers get to experience an exciting and safe environment with counselors who support and encourage them as they explore what they’re capable of, discover new friendships, and encounter Jesus.

Additional Information about Base Camp (ages 8 – 11) Camp:

Biggest Changes from 2023:

This program is actually very similar to the Rezident Program campers attended in 2023. The biggest difference is that with a smaller age window, activities and programming content are more specifically designed for this age group. Additionally, we’re adding in a new cabin team building activity!

Activity Sign Ups:

Activity Sign-Ups (during camp check in) are blocks of time where campers are challenged to try new skills. The goal is for campers to experience one activity as a cabin to grown and bond with their cabin-mates, and to choose up to 3 activities that they personally want to dive deeper into. We have 8 activities for campers to choose from when they arrive at camp!

Free Time:

During their week at camp, campers to have the opportunity to rest and play in ways they might not get back home. During this time each day, campers could go to the Camp Store, play in the lake, sign up to go on the Zipline, or choose from many more options! The goal for this time is for campers to have fun and participate in exciting activities with the freedom to choose how they want to engage.

Encountering Jesus:

Throughout their week at camp, campers will participate in fun and interactive Camper Rallies that help bring God’s Word to life. They will have daily Quiet Times, and Bible Studies that are specifically designed for their age group and are presented through the lens of an engaging theme to help make the lessons tangible. Our goal for Overnight 8-11 is for campers to encounter Jesus through every aspect of our programming.

Your genuine love for the Lord and love for the campers is evident. The counselors are well trained and genuinely connected with and cared for my children. As a parent, someone else pouring God's truth into your child is invaluable, so thank you for that! —Donna, Colorado
