Day Camp at Glen Eyrie offers a top notch program full of fun outdoor adventures and spiritual growth opportunities for kids ages 7-13. Campers will get to experience two field trips every week! Every Tuesday, campers travel to Eagle Lake’s overnight property to enjoy activities like the blob, zipline, waterslide, swimming, and more. Field trips on Thursdays vary week to week and include exciting locations in the surrounding area.
Other activities on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday include hiking, arts and crafts, archery, water games, tie dye, Bible study, and large team competitions. Day Camp at Glen Eyrie is so much more than just a day camp – it’s a summer filled with lasting memories and exciting adventures right here in Colorado Springs.
All registrations may be submitted online. $50 is due at the time of registration. This amount is a non-refundable deposit that holds your spot. Full payment is due two weeks before your camp week.
You may drop off your campers starting at 8:45am each morning (before/after care is available from 7-9 am and 4-6 pm each day for an additional $75). On Monday morning, anticipate spending 5-10 extra minutes checking in and going over your camper forms with our admin staff.
You may pick up your campers at 4:00pm each afternoon. If somebody other than you (the parent who registered the child for camp) wishes to pick up your camper, please login to your online registration account and complete the Pick up Authorization section found under ‘Manage Registrations’.
Don’t forget your photo ID for pick up! To ensure each camper’s safety we will check photo IDs to make sure it matches one of the names on the pick-up authorization form. We will check these every day.

2017 Field Trip Schedule *Subject to Change*
Week 1 (6/5): Roller Skating at Skate City & Day Camp at Glen Eyrie Carnival!
Get ready to blast to the past for our 2nd annual Day Camp Costume Competition (with prizes!!!)! Think 70s as we skate our way through Disco lights, classic tunes, limbo competitions, relay races, and more. (Although any costume goes – our staff will show up as Pac Man characters!)
Please Note: Costumes cannot have masks that impair vision and must be appropriate (no blood, scary monsters, R-rated characters, etc.). Campers who wear inappropriate costumes will be asked to change.
Additionally, you may send cash with your camper for the arcade or snack bar! However, this money does not go into your Eagle Lake store account and is therefore not Eagle Lake or its staff’s responsibility. Please only send if your camper is able to follow your instructions to use it.
Then in the afternoon, we’ll blast the music and have our very own Day Camp at Glen Eyrie Carnival! Campers can earn tickets by playing all the classic carnival games (and some crazy, new games too!) and can cash them in for cotton candy, face painting, and our photo booth. If they somehow manage to earn an unimaginable amount of tickets (and they seem to every year), they can even spend them to pie their favorite counselor – or even better, one of the leadership – in the face!!! Who doesn’t want to see someone get pied in the face!?
Week 2 (6/12): Ice Skating and Broomball at Sertich Ice Center & Step Into My Shoes!
In the morning, we will make our way to Sertich Ice Center to ice skate and have an epic game of BROOOOOOOMBALLLLLLL!!! All on our own private rink! You won’t want to miss this one!
What better way to teach our children kindness and compassion than to give them the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of millions of children around the world? Compassion gives us just such an opportunity: Campers will build a shelter out of trash, collect and carry dirty water (Don’t worry! They won’t have to drink it!), and go to a “market” to shop for food in the hopes that they will develop empathy like Christ’s for their peers in other countries.
Week 3 (6/19): Art Day & Day Camp at Glen Eyrie Carnival!
Do you have a budding artist in your home? This week is for them! In the morning, we have the unique opportunity of inviting artists to our program to teach your campers the beautiful gift of art! Together with fellow campers and their counselors, your campers will get to explore our awe-inspiring property to find inspiration for their paintings, and then learn to paint!

Week 4 (6/26): Denver Museum of Nature and Science!
The Denver Museum of Nature and Science isn’t just some boring museum – campers will have the opportunity to visit interactive exhibits and learn more about God’s creativity and power as we see our world and universe in new ways.
Week 5 (7/3): Trampoline World Gymnastics & Day Camp at Glen Eyrie Carnival!
This morning we get to visit Trampoline World Gymnastics, where your camper will get to LITERALLY bounce off the walls as they go crazy on trampolines, trapeze bars, foam pits, bungie cords, trampoline running tracks and a trampoline wall!
Then, round 3 of Day Camp at Glen Eyrie Carnival! More FUN! More GAMES!! More PIE!!!
Week 6 (7/10): EXTREME Capture the Flag @ Our Overnight Property!
Fresh mountain air? Check. Exercise? Check. Friendly competition and that sweet, sweet feeling of victory? Check. We’re going to give your kids one of the very best experiences of their lives as they run over all through trees and up hills at our overnight property in Rocky Mountain National Park, and we’ll return them to you very ready for bed. 🙂
Week 7 (7/17): County Fair!
There’s nothing quite like a County Fair! Especially when it includes a Petting Zoo, duck races, an Aussie Kingdom show, Farmer Phil, and more! Your camper will love getting to explore this unique outdoor experience!
Week 8 (7/24): Day Camp at Glen Eyrie Carnival Day & Ice Skating and Broomball Monument Ice Rink!
This will be our last week of Carnival for the rest of the summer! Go ALL-OUT! Get those tickets and PIE those counselors!!!
And why another week of ice skating and broomball at Monument Ice Rink? Because no one ever gets tired of ice skating & BROOOOOOOMBALLLLLLLL!!!
Week 9 (7/31): BEACH DAY at Prospect Beach Lake!
We’ll yell our last huzzah for the summer at Prospect Beach Lake! We will have our very own private space on the beach to swim in the warm water and play in the sand. We’ll also be doing a sand castle competition (with prizes!!!) and a race of EPIC proportions, so start practicing now!
Please Note: Campers will have to pass a swim test at Prospect Beach to play in the water. Neither Prospect Beach nor Eagle Lake will be providing water safety equipment; if you want, you can send life jackets with your camper.
Week 10 (8/7): Skillz Extravaganza @ Our Overnight Property!
This week we’ll be heading back up to our beautiful overnight property in the Rocky Mountains so that campers can participate in the unique skills we offer on our Rezident camp programming: human foosball, riflery, archery, and angleball! Perhaps even more exciting, for the first time ever we are giving Day Camp campers the chance to experience rock climbing and low ropes initiatives from our Excursions program, as well!

What TO Bring
What NOT to bring
*Cash (The Camp Store does not accept cash. For all store purchases, money must be deposited into camper’s store account online. You may login to your account to manage your camper’s store card.)
**Medications (camp staff will not administer prescription medication to campers. If a camper needs to take a prescription medication during camp, a parent must come to administer the medication)
What you need to know
Due to the frequent changes and updates that children experience within a year’s time we require parents to fill out a new health form every year. The doctor’s physical may be accepted if it is within 12 months of camp attendance. Please bring a copy of the current health form with you on the day of registration; all documents from prior years go into archive following the summer months, and are irretrievable.
Eagle Lake Day Camp at Glen Eyrie
Our Day Camp program is specifically designed and geared toward seven to twelve year olds. The high energy activities of camp can be difficult for six-year-olds and younger children to keep up with. Please contact our office if you have any questions about younger children attending our camp.
EARLY REGISTRATION If you register before January 15, 2017 you will receive a $50 discount off the camp of your choice (only applies to 5 or 12-night programs). REFERRAL DISCOUNT We also offer a Referral Program discount which provides an opportunity for you to earn discounts (up to a free week of camp) while helping us recruit new campers. Our referral program is only eligible for our Overnight Camps, and provides a $50 discount for each new camper you refer. Please see our referral page for more information.
For discounts on our Day Camp On Location programs please contact the church or organization hosting that week of Day Camp.
Overnight and Day Camp Programs: Financial aid, in the form of a partial assistance scholarship, is available to those in need. Financial assistance is approved by application only. Visit our Campership page to apply.
To qualify for financial aid, camper must have an active Eagle Lake registration secured with $50 deposit (while the deposit is typically non-refundable, in the case that a registration must be cancelled due to insufficient financial assistance, the deposit will be refunded).
Eagle Lake Day Camp at Glen Eyrie:
Campers are responsible to bring their own sack lunch each day to camp. Eagle Lake has a camp store where snacks can be purchased and eaten during free time but feel free to pack some extra snacks in their lunch as well.
Eagle Lake Day Camp at Glen Eyrie
If a camper is on prescription medication, the medication is required to be checked in with Eagle Lake staff at registration. All medications, including vitamins, must be in the original container or will not be accepted. All medication, including vitamins, must be listed on the Eagle Lake physical form by the prescribing doctor. We do not allow any camper to keep medications on them except specifically requested by the physician.
Our medical staff distributes all medication at the time it needs to be taken by the camper. Please do not have campers bring over-the-counter medication to camp, as we are sufficiently stocked to meet the general needs of headaches, coughs and scrapes. If you have any questions about a specific medical situation, please call the camp office.
If needed, medications can be picked up at the end of each day and checked in each morning.
Day Camp at Glen Eyrie: Check-in for Day Camp is on the opening Monday of camp. Please arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 am on opening day to complete the registration process and make sure there are no outstanding forms or balances on your account. Pick-up is at 4:00 pm every day. (If your camper is signed up for Before and After Care, drop-off is between 7:00-9:00 am, and pick-up is from 4:00-6:00 pm.)
