Meet Our Staff

Jack McQueeney

Executive Director
Jack grew up in Wisconsin and crossed the border to attend college at Iowa State University where he met both Christ and his wife, Shaunda, through his involvement with the Navigators’ student ministry. After graduating, he served one year in a Navigator staff training program at Iowa State before joining the Navigators in Colorado as an assistant to then International President, Lorne Sanny. In 1984, Jack and Shaunda married and began their life and ministry together with The Navigators at the University of Texas. In 1989, Jack became the Eagle Lake Camp Director, and he and Shaunda moved their family to Colorado Springs. In 2001, Jack became the Executive Director of the Glen Eyrie Group which oversees Eagle Lake Camps, Eagle Lake Mobile Day Camps and the Glen Eyrie Conference Center. Jack and Shaunda have four children and live in Colorado Springs. Although Jack has not lived in Wisconsin in some time, he and his family are still unwavering fans of the Green Bay Packers.

Mark Heffentrager

Director of Camping Ministries
Mark is a graduate of Colorado Christian University and heralds from Tucson, Arizona. He met the Navigators in 1998 while serving as a Resident Camp counselor at Eagle Lake Camp. At the end of that summer, he was invited to join Eagle Lake's full time staff. Mark met his wife Jen at Eagle Lake and they married in Jen's hometown of Chesnee, South Carolina in March of 2001. In 2002, Mark took over as Director of Eagle Lake. Mark is passionate about teaching and developing young leaders and equipping them to bring the gospel to future generations of youth. Mark and Jen both have a high value for discipleship and pouring into the young men and women in their community. Mark and Jen have two sons whom they love spending time with. They enjoy traveling, experiencing new cultures, reading and being active. You can also catch Mark on a golf course or riding motorcycles.

Jenny Dordal

Administrative Director
Jenny attended Eagle Lake for many years as a child and was amazed by the caring staff, the amazing property and the inspiring programs. She returned to Colorado to join Eagle Lake full time staff in 2002. While working for Eagle Lake, Jenny graduated from Colorado Christian University in 2009 with a degree in Organizational Management and Human Resources. She manages all of Eagle Lake's administrative functions while rocking to Michael W. Smith. Jenny was drawn to work at Eagle Lake because of her experience at camp. Being a part of the impact that camp has on kids drives her passion for the Ministry of Eagle Lake. “Eagle Lake was the first place I understood what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus,” she explained. “It was a place I felt truly cared about and it had a significant impact on me during that time in my life.” She is affectionately known as "Pepper Potts," and although she may sound nice on the phone, watch out - she has a black belt in Taekwondo!

Sean McKelvey

Operations Manager
Sean was born in Denver, and moved to California when he was seven. While attending Long Beach State, he learned about Eagle Lake through his involvement in the Navigators Ministry. Starting as a Rez counselor in 2003, Sean developed his passion for youth ministry. Sean joined Eagle Lake’s full time staff team as the Crew Camp Director in 2006. Through his years at camp, Sean met his wife Andrea, and they were married in the spring in 2007. During his time in college and at Eagle Lake, Sean developed a passion for discipleship. As Sean would put it, “the most influential time in a young person’s life is high school. Kids are growing and learning who they are and who they want to be and coming to camp during this time can be monumental in their growth and character development.” Currently, Sean is the Operations Manager and when he’s not working hard up at camp or around the office, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, running, playing sports, and being outside.

Ben Notheis

Associate Director
Ben was born and raised in Tucson and attended college at the University of Arizona. While there, he met and fell in love with his future wife, Rosa and spent a summer working as a rez counselor at Eagle Lake. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Ben and Rosa were married in 2005 and were involved with Jr. High Ministry while both working career jobs. It was at that point in 2009, that Ben received a call from Eagle Lake, asking if he would pray about joining Eagle Lake's staff as the Programs Manager and Residential Camp Director. God opened doors and answered prayers… and here they are! The Notheis’ are fun-loving people who are excited to serve in a variety of capacities within the Rez program. Having been a counselor in 2003, Ben brings a unique insight and knowledge to the Eagle Lake team. Outside of his Eagle Lake role, you can find him admiring F-22 fighter jets, dismantling random objects to see how they work, and spending time with his family!

Andrew Brown

Resident Camp Director
Since Andrew first stepped onto the Eagle Lake property in 1998 as a Rez camper, he has had a passion for the programs and spiritual growth at Eagle Lake. He was a camper for six years, and through that time, developed a heart for the ministry of Jesus. After his first summer as a camper, Andrew had an assignment to draw what he wanted to be when he grew up; he drew himself as an Eagle Lake counselor. Sure enough, in 2009 Andrew returned to camp and became just that: a Rez counselor. After Andrew graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 with a degree in Broadcasting and Electronic Media, he was hired on as the Assistant Rez Director and Communications Specialist. Camp changed Andrew’s life growing up, and that’s why he wants to be a part of the work here. He knows firsthand how it will change their lives, and give them a glimpse of our dynamic God. Andrew is a musician and avid gamer; so be careful that you don’t challenge him to a duel in Rock Band. You’ll lose. Every time.
